English Language Discussion Group.
All are welcome - especially people who don't usually come to church. We meet every Tuesday at Alison's home in Foz to discuss a wide range of topics (not always 'religion-based') and have a lot of fun trying to keep our mixture of foreign language speakers speaking English. Snacks and beverages are provided and we can usually find a lift for those needing a ride back to the metro station, or on occasions, all the way home. Please come and join us. We love to hear other points of view, and who knows, we might even provide YOU with 'food for thought'!
At present we are looking at some of the Alpha Course material week by week. If you are not familiar with Alpha, it is a series which looks at many aspects of spiritual experience - starting from "Who is Jesus?" and leading through subjects like the bible; prayer; The Holy Spirit; the Church and many others.
Alpha does not assume that attenders are already believers but tries to put the evidence concerning what happened in Israel two thousand years ago into perspective by analysing it and clearly presenting the evidence for discussion in a comfortable environment.
